Here is Number Three!
OK folks, I know we are nuts, but here is the newest member of the family...Shyanne.
She was another throw away cat that ended up in our yard, hearts and home. She along with Domino and Mr. Timothy Whiskars (pictured in previous posts) are now living in our home...never to be hungary or cold again. Since ALF passed away I thought we would be catless. But as luck would have it these three have wormed their way into our hearts and home. They are so sweet how could anyone not love them.

Geez! You don't post for three months and they really mess with your mind by changing everything all around! I don't know where the time went but I think I am ready to share my blog with the world! Well, OK, maybe not the world but with some friends and relatives. You lucky folks you! Now you can be bored to tears reading my ramblings.

Lisa, here he is!

The one, the only, the original!
ALF!
Going on 21!

Rain Rain Go Away!
NOW!
What a gloomy few days it has been. All I seem to do is play on the computer and feed people and cats. Every time I turn around there is a different cat at the door. Then there is another sink full of dishes. Its suppose to rain again tomorrow and then clear and I hope that tropical storm Ernesto goes away. Here is a picture of Mr. Whiskars...he is so sweet but when you pick him up you can feel he is all muscle! But just look at that face! He kind of has an Elvis sneer going on.

Herrrrrre's Domino!
Good Morning Sunshine!
What a glorius day!...cool, low humidity, absolutely beautiful! I had breakfast and coffee on the back steps with Domino this morning. Actually it was more of a balancing act, with me trying to eat my cheerios while Domino rolled around in my lap wanting to have his head and face rubbed! Quite a site ! Trying to keep the cat from rolling off my lap and grabbing a bite of cereal when I could. Picture this...me trying to put a spoonful of cereal in my face and a furry little guy pushing my hand up so he could rub his face on it. Then every time I put my cereal down ALF would stick his head out the door to see if he could get some milk from my dish...we don't give ALF milk anymore...milk and old cats digestive systyem don't play well together.

Don't have alot planned for today just winging it. Ciao!

Well it would seem I have been on hiatus! Its August 23 and time has not been on my side it has passed me by at the speed of light! I get so wrapped up in day to day things that my blog has fallen by the wayside. I love to read Lisa's blog and I say"I really should post to mine" but somehow it slips my mind almost as fast as I think of it! Just to catch up...I am now feeding four possibly 5 cats three of which will come in the house to have a look round. They are all very clean and look very healthy. Winter will let me know if any of them need a permanent home. Right now the weather is good and so is the mousing. I really don't want or need anymore cats, but since I can't seem to turn a hungry face or someone in need of some lovin away...I guess I'm stuck. Oh well.

Nothing really exciting happening here...we are planning to go to visit my friend Jim in NH towards the end of September. This time we will get a room for the night so we can visit longer...its only a two hour drive to his house, but it will be nice to have an extended visit. There is a Days Inn just down the road. Talked to him last night and he is excited. He is already making plans to take us to the outlets in Kittery, ME. I also would like to visit Stonyfield Farms which is just a short distance away from his house. I love their yogurt!

Well I must be shoving off, I have to do my daily exercising and then see what other mischief I can get into. I promise to see you soon.

Whoa! Where did May go? I turned around and its June 27th? Since June first we have had 18 days of rain(heard that on the morning news)...it rained so much this past weekend I had to wear boots to go out to feed the strays!

Haven't seen the cat I call Tigger now since the beginning of June maybe even before that. Don't have a clue as to where he went. He may just not be showing his face...but there is a new cat...a little black and white with bright green eyes! Very cute, I have seen this one before in my yard chasing bugs. I thought he belonged to the first house on the corner of my street but there are new people there and he is still here. So he may belong to someone else but I still put out the food for Whoever...I have even upgraded to a large dish of dry food in addition to the moist. Which someone likes because I have to top it off almost every day.

Well on th 4th of July Lou and I will be doing a Civil Union for our friends Niki and Chuck. It has been crazy, I write the ceremony and gather the music and this one has been tough. Chuck is older and Niki younger. Chuck has very definate ideas for music and I have been searching for his choices. Lou will perform the ceremony and I will take the photos. Then I will make a CD with all the pictures in a slide show and put it to music. Sometimes we even do a scrapbook-like wedding album.

There are so many things I really need to get done so I guess I better get going!

I can't believe May is nearly gone! This coming weekend is Memorial Day. I really need to go North to see my friend Jim. He has been having health issues. I miss him and just to add insult to injury...I can't email him at work anymore because all his emails also go to a co-workers computer! His emails always make me smile if not just burst out laughing! Big brother is watching you! You would never guess its May out there today tho...very windy and only in the low 60's so it feels colder. Must be even colder up North! Well have to deliver lunch to Lou and then get on with the day.

Breakfast with Tigger
THE PASSING OF FUZZ FACE and THEN THERE IS TIGGER

Well, April just slipped on by without me having a thought that I could share. I knew Fuzz Face was dying, I guess I knew from the start that she had come home to die. I just didn't want to think about it. But I was destined to be her port in the storm. Some well deserved food and attention at the end of her days. She died around 3am on Thursday May 4th. We laid her to rest with all our other cherished pets in our backyard. Our own private pet cemetary. Just another reason not to move from here. I am still feeding and giving some well deserved scratches to Tigger. He used to belong to our other neighbor...when she moved to Coventry...
He came back! He lives in our shed...we are going to build him a shelter cause the shed is in rough shape. He gets 2 good meals a day and I only ask that he lets me pet him occasionally. Don't think he will ever want to come into the house....But you never know!!!!!!!!!!!!!

FuzzFace making herself at home. Posted by Picasa
Today is still windy but not as cold, thats if 32 degrees as the high floats your boat! If its a sailboat it will probably fly with the winds we are having today. Then you could say "Were not in Kansas anymore Toto!".
FuzzFace came in at 8:30 this am and stuck around till 11am. Stepping out during a very windy patch and deciding inside just might be better! I'm winning her over, at least during the cold weather. Took her pic while she was making herself at home and will try to post it. Did a lot of photo editing this am. Yesterday scanned multiple bunches of old photographs and today split them up into singles. Don't know yet what to do with them but its comforting just to know if they crumble away I still have them. Spent 2 and a half hours on the phone last nite with my friend Deena who lives in Illinois. She tried to explain their wacky time zones between IL and IN. I'd never keep them straight and I'd always be an hour late or an hour early??????

Boy is it cold today! Wind chill in the minus numbers! Why do people let their pets out on days like these? There is this little black cat...I know she belongs to someone...we call her FuzzFace since we don't know her real name. She shows up daily for a free meal...not scraggly...looks oooold...meows very loudly, almost demandingly. On cold mornings she shows up well after the sun is up...warmer days much earlier...and then she will go away for sometimes a month or more an we won't see hide nor hair of her. On these cold mornings I have been taking her inside to feed her. One, the food freezes really fast if put outside and Two, I want her to warm up. She is used to people because while she is leery of being in a strange house she does not put up a fight when picked up and plopped in the house. She even explores a little. After eating and exploring a little she wants out and off she goes to who knows where. I let her go because I want her to continue to trust me. Breaks my heart tho when I see any animal out in this cold. I'd like to make the owner stay out for a few hours.
OK,OK, I am now climbing down off my soapbox.

Feeling like something different today...getting closer to telling people about Moose Berries. Right now it just doesn't seem right...I'll know when! The whole reason I have a blog is because of Lisa (Zaleski-Buccheri) Patterson. Lisa is really a childhood friend of Heather's...we correspond and she sends me pictures of her twin boy's. She lives in SC now with the rest of her family but once she was a Northener like us....A-Yah! Now she is a "yall" gal!!! LOL! Anyway, she sent me her blog site and I thought what a great therapy it would be to ramble...like I have said before I wouldn't have needed this outlet if not for the passing of my best friend Jane...loosing my sounding wall was a great blow...I could tell her anything and she me...we were each others sanity! Anyway, Thanks, Lisa! And I enjoy reading her blog. Maybe I was destined to blog or not, but it truly is great fun. Of course to all of you that at a later time I will invite to read my blog you will then be sure that your first impressions that I am truly "nuts" was absolutely correct. Or as Lou would say, the chemo cooked her brain!

Well its a new year already! Where did 2005 go? Not only is it 2006 but its February! Today is my daughters 31st Birthday! Well its not official till 6pm but its still her Birthday. Got a nasty cold! It's better than cancer but still yucky! Dealing with new problems in the new year and still some of the old ones that have yet to be straightened out. I still miss my friend Jane, who inspired my ramblings. I think of her everyday! I feel her presence and wish we could talk! Oh the things I'd tell her! I do talk to her still, but only silence answers me back. Still screwing around with the VA. Those people don't know their ass from their elbow! They are slower than molasses in January! Still trying to figure out how to stay on budget and still buy groceries and pay co pays for Dr's and Rx's. Got a new roof on the house and some new basement windows. A loan I really didn't need. What little extra money I had went to putting in new wiring and circuit box so my house won't burn down. Finally convinced my husband that either he gives up smoking or he gives up playing the lottery...cause he isn't getting any bigger of an allowance than he gets right now! He chose to give up smoking. Smart man! Well thats it for today. Maybe I will write again tommorow...of course since I haven't shared my blog address with anyone I know...no one else reads it...maybe someday!
