I awoke to a beautiful (windy but beautiful) day! Hip hip hooray! I've put the Ark on hold and want to trim bushes instead!
On Friday we laid Jane to rest. Even the sky was crying. Saturday was still a gray day of mourning but today mother nature is celebrating Jane by sweeping away all the clouds and letting her sun shine down. Still missing her but knowing she is watching us from above will get us through. Looking forward always!

Well its Monday and a damp rainy one at that. Thought I'd post a picture just to see if I could do it. I love the pictures of Angel (the raccoon). She was like taking care of 4 two year olds all at once but it was worth it just to be that close to one of God's creatures. Not doing a lot today just dishes and trying to figure out whats for supper.

Sometimes life comes at you from all directions! As if 2 bouts with cancer in 6 years wasn't enough! Throw in the VA, Social Security, insurance companies, and hospital bills just for fun. They say what doesn't kill you makes you stronger! Well not in the muscle bound Ahnold Schwartzenegger sense but sometimes I would like some of that kind of muscle to beat the snot out of a certain someone! NO...no one in my family or circle of friends...just a person I had the unfortunate pleasure of meeting who has made the last year aggravating to say the least!!! Now to top it off, October 2, 2005 my best friend of 51 years, Jane, died. On March 8th 2005 she was diagnosed with brain tumors and by October 2nd she was gone.
Because of my cancer I am disabled so I was lucky to be able to be with her as much as possible and to help her through her treatment...In the end though the tumors won and now she is gone but not forgotten and never will be. She lives on in her daughter Susan and her grandson Gunnar. Susan, her husband Steve and their son Gunnar are very special people and very special to me.
I will never pass a Dunkin Donuts without remembering how much she loved their coffee or have a bagel from Bagel One knowing she liked her sunflower seed bagels toasted with plain cream cheese.
I think I owe this blog to her because I need to ramble and this is very theraputic. So I dedicate Mooseberries to Jane and our friendship because when I needed to ramble she was always there to listen...so Jane "This blogs for you!"
